Position Summary
The Revenue Cycle Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of revenue-related financial transactions across the organization’s billing, payment, and accounting systems. This role focuses on reconciling payments, identifying discrepancies, resolving variances, and supporting the financial close process related to revenue cycle activities.
The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and experienced in revenue cycle processes, payment reconciliation, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Revenue Reconciliation
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of revenue cycle transactions, including charges, payments, adjustments, and deposits.
- Reconcile billing system reports to the general ledger and bank deposits.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between billing records, payment postings, and financial reports.
- Ensure all revenue transactions are accurately reflected across systems.
Payment Verification
- Review and reconcile payments received from insurance companies, government payers, and clients.
- Verify that payments are accurately posted and applied within the billing system.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies in payment postings, adjustments, and write-offs.
Variance Analysis
- Analyze revenue reports and accounts receivable data to identify anomalies, trends, or discrepancies.
- Research and resolve inconsistencies between expected and actual reimbursement.
- Collaborate with billing staff to correct errors affecting revenue accuracy.
Financial Reporting Support
- Assist in preparing revenue cycle reports, reconciliation summaries, and financial analysis for leadership.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities related to revenue transactions.
- Maintain documentation supporting reconciliations and adjustments.
Process Improvement and Compliance
- Identify opportunities to improve reconciliation processes and strengthen internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with payer guidelines, financial policies, and organizational procedures.
- Assist with internal and external audits related to revenue cycle activities.
Collaboration
- Work closely with billing, finance, and administrative teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to leadership to improve revenue cycle performance.
Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience in revenue cycle operations, accounting, reconciliation, or accounts receivable.
- Experience working with billing systems, accounting software, or electronic health record (EHR) systems preferred.
- Healthcare, behavioral health, or insurance billing experience is a plus.

This position provides goal directed support and solution-focused interventions to achieve treatment goals and objectives identified in the client’s individualized treatment plan. This position facilitates services that are designed to assist the client with functional deficits and interpersonal and/or environmental barriers associated with their mental illness. This position will be for direct support for youth who meet criteria SED diagnosis and require additional one on one support aside from outpatient therapy or case management alone. At times this position will provide services to clients who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis and assist with stabilization or connecting to needed resources. The specialist will provide assistance in the form of direct support, modeling, supervision, and/or cueing to support independent performance of tasks. Most contacts will occur in community locations where the client lives, works, attends school and/or socializes. Activities are prescribed by a clinician.
Credential and Experience Requirements
An associate degree from an accredited university in various behavioral health fields such as clinical psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, rehabilitation, or closely related degree, is preferred. Experience in lieu of or in addition to education may be considered. Previous experience in a community mental health center working with individuals with mental illness is preferred. Job Summary:
This is a position in the treatment and rehabilitation field in regard to the disease of addiction and crisis stabilization. The Mental Health Technician Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of Mental Health Technicians (MHT) and delivery of services necessary to assist clients in daily living in a residential program and on the stabilization unit. Job Summary:
This position has primary responsibility for the assessment of behavioral health disorders, development of treatment plans, coordination, delivery of services via individual and family therapy, documentation, and service utilization management for assigned clients. Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Evaluation: Gather and document all relevant information regarding a client, via diagnostic (biopsychosocial assessment) interview to produce an accurate diagnosis, presenting problem and challenges that will be the medically necessary focus for treatment services and interventions. The evaluation includes an assessment of areas of need in life domains that without remediation or assistance will serve as a barrier to recovery for the client.

The QMHP will assess the need for on-going treatment, utilizing measurement-based tools, and will review and update the plan with the client, every 90 days.
- Therapy: Conduct treatment interventions directly with the client. This includes but is not limited to individual therapy, group psychotherapy, and family therapy. Services may be provided in the office setting or in community settings based on the individual’s needs. Continuously assess client progress and response to treatment interventions and activities. Complete documentation for each service unit provided within 24 hours of service provision.
- Discharge Planning: Initiate initial evaluation of a plan of discharge. Assess with the client what medical and mental conditions will be resolved; what constitutes resolution and the goals and objectives that must be met to serve as criteria for discharge from treatment. Continuously assess client progress toward this goal. Document in the medical record progress toward this goal and at discharge, complete a written summary of treatment activities, including the client’s progress, prognosis and recommendations for follow up including any referrals made.
- Utilization Management: Monitor the utilization of treatment resources on behalf of clients. Ensure that treatment resources are being effectively utilized, are appropriate and are medically necessary. Participate in center utilization review activities and in peer review. This includes but is not limited to reviewing the medical records of clients assigned to other teams to monitor appropriateness of treatment and providing feedback.
- Crisis and Emergency Services: Respond as needed and consult with the crisis team, other center personnel, or other community providers regarding crisis or emergency needs of assigned clients.

As medically necessary this position will provide assistance in the form of direct support, supervision, and/or cueing so that the consumer performs the task by him/herself. The majority of contacts will occur in the crisis stabilization unit at CMHC. This position conducts activities under the direction of senior clinical staff.

Position Description
The SED Waiver Mental Health Assistant provides goal-directed, individualized supports to children enrolled in the Kansas SED Waiver program and their families. Services are delivered in community-based and home settings and are designed to support the child’s emotional and behavioral stability while reducing caregiver stress and preventing out-of-home placement disruption.
This position primarily provides respite services to guardians of children on the SED Waiver. Respite services are therapeutic in nature and are intended to give both the child and caregiver a structured, supportive break from one another in order to reduce escalation, improve family functioning, and promote long-term placement stability.
The SED Waiver MHA implements skill-building, supervision, and supportive interventions in alignment with the child’s individualized treatment plan. Services focus on improving emotional regulation, social skills, coping strategies, and daily functioning while reinforcing consistency, safety, and routine.
Unlike Children’s Crisis Services, this position does not primarily respond to acute psychiatric crises. Instead, services are planned, preventative, and maintenance-focused, supporting families outside of crisis situations to reduce the likelihood of future crises.
The SED Waiver MHA works under the direction of senior clinical staff and collaborates with families, case managers, and treatment teams to ensure services are effective, appropriate, and goal oriented.
